Oh My Posh themes

Small, device-oriented Oh My Posh themes with Nerd Font platform and machine icons.

Quick setup

1. Install Oh My Posh on the machine that runs the shell.

2. Configure the terminal application on the client device to use a Nerd Font. The icons are rendered by the terminal client, including when connected over SSH. FiraCode Nerd Font is a good choice.

3. Download one theme (replace THEME with a filename from the table):

   mkdir -p ~/.poshthemes
   curl -fsSL \
     "https://git.corebot.ca/CoreBotLabs/omp-themes/raw/branch/main/THEME" \
     -o "$HOME/.poshthemes/THEME"
   

4. Add exactly one matching initialization line to the interactive shell startup file.

   Zsh (~/.zshrc):

   eval "$(oh-my-posh init zsh --config ~/.poshthemes/THEME)"
   

   Bash (~/.bashrc):

   eval "$(oh-my-posh init bash --config ~/.poshthemes/THEME)"
   

5. Open a new terminal session, or reload the relevant file:

   exec "$SHELL"
   

The themes show the current username and path dynamically; no hostnames, addresses, credentials, or tokens are stored in them.
